I’m not happy. But this is fine if Jay learns his lessons.

He has to learn that all these pinch hitters aren’t the answer. I can stomach him trying guys out in situations but he better not try it again if it doesn’t work.

Paul will sit down with him and have a talk.

Dugas and Merrifield being removed in 4 run games for freshmen was weird

I just can't seem to care one way or the other at this point of the season.

I know people hate when this is said, but these games don't really matter that much. Like even if we won today, one win over Texas doesn't suddenly mean we're a CWS favorite.

Seen it too many times with too many different teams outside of LSU with how Jekyll and Hyde they can be throughout the season. I just can't force myself to react over a non-conference game.

It's cool that we won last night and it sucks that we lost tonight, but these are essentially preseason games.

Is there anyway to figure out if this is something he does all season?

I get A new coach wanting to see what guys can do.

But yeah I would Be concerned if he PHing this much all season.

At some point getting R/L matchup doesn’t matter if the guy your PHing is just that much worse.

Acting like this game was the World Series finals is ridiculous. My god get a grip, CPM choked for half a decade before what you’re talking about started happening.

pulls Dugas for a freshman hitter against a pitching staff that has given up 12 runs in like 10 games...now 13 runs in 11 games

I have no problems with his pinch hitting. If the guys aren’t hitting all game long and we are behind he is just trying to get a spark. I have a problem with Ty Floyd being a sat or Sunday Starter. Stick him as a middle reliever until he can throw a secondary pitch. Try Taylor or Dutton

SEC is very unforgiving, Johnson may have rough outing this year.

I mean Texas smacked Tennessee in the mouth yesterday.

Maybe they’re better than the SEC.

That matter in terms of what Jay learns. That’s the point of this thread.

CPM is objectively a better coach than JJ. Anyone who disagrees is ignorant
