Jazz
@ Nuggets
@ Grizzlies
Magic
Hornets
Rockets
Suns
@ Spurs
@ Hawks
@ Hornets (SEGABABA)
Bulls
Spurs
Lakers
@ Blazers
@ Lakers
@ Clippers
@ Kings
Blazers
@ Grizzlies
Warriors (SEGABABA)

Fairly tough schedule, I think I heard it was 5th toughest remaining. However, we play a ton of teams vying for those 4 play-in spots. Blazers could be stealth tanking by the time we play them twice, as could the Kings. Play the Lakers twice, win both and we are in spectacular shape.

And its even possible that if Grizz and Warriors have spots locked up they could be resting starters or keeping minutes down in those last two.

So while its a tough schedule...its clear that based on the matchups it puts us in firm control of our own destiny.

We don't even have to worry about other teams winning and losing...we just need to win.

One thing that feels different after the last 3 games is the Pels aren’t a pretender that needs help to get in. They should be good enough to win their way in.

Hopefully the next 3 games don’t make us feel like we’re back to pretending.

I for one will continue to worry about the Lakers losing. I really want that top 10 pick

The next 3 are actually the games I am most concerned about.

jazz, @ Denver, @ Grizzlies

That is TOUGH. We won't be favored in any of those, and going 0-3 would really, really be deflating.

Next 3 games I think are gonna say a lot.

Jazz, Nuggets, and Grizzlies are all red hot right now. I won't melt if we lose all three, but we sort of need to at least get one of these games.

I think 12-8 is a fair, if not conservative expectation, and I think that would probably be enough to get you the 9th seed.

I was telling my buddy. We need to get 1 of the next 3 and play well in the other two to continue momentum building. Sneak out 2 of 3 and I will be pumped!

I'd be ok with 1-2, assuming we have a winning record the rest of the way.

1-2
Jazz
@ Nuggets
@ Grizzlies

3-1
Magic
Hornets
Rockets
Suns

1-3
@ Spurs
@ Hawks
@ Hornets (SEGABABA)

2-1
Bulls
Spurs
Lakers

2-2
@ Blazers
@ Lakers
@ Clippers
@ Kings

2-1(I think one of the Warriors or Grizz will rest players at this point given the gap between 3 and the rest of the standings)
Blazers
@ Grizzlies
Warriors (SEGABABA)

Thats 11-9. I think thats somewhat conservative and we probably win a fews games we shouldnt, or because of guys being out on the opposing team, and lose a couple we shoulda won either because of a trap game or a key guy missing a game or two. Like, 13-7 or even 14-6 wouldnt shock me with how everyone is playing right now.

Here is the Lakers remaining schedule. We are currently 1.5 back:

@L.A. Clippers
v.Golden State
@San Antonio
@Houston
v.Washington
@Phoenix
v.Toronto (SEGABABA)
@Minnesota
@Toronto
@Washington (SEGABABA)
@Cleveland
v.Philadelphia
@New Orleans
@Dallas
@Utah
v.New Orleans (SEGABABA)
v.Denver
@Phoenix
@Golden State
v.Oklahoma City (SEGABABA)
@Denver

If we go 11-9, the Lakers would have to go 11-10 to stay in 9th, which I just don’t see them doing. I think reasonable high end for them is 10-11 and reasonable low end is 6-15 (538 has them going 7-14). If things bottom out though, it could get really ugly with that schedule. There’s just not many W’s that you can pencil in for them remaining.

BTW, 538 has us going 10-10 and Elo has us at 11-9. Both 538 and Elo have the Lakers going 7-14.

Unless they get AD back and playing like he did the championship year, I don't see how they get close to .500 the rest of the way.

That schedule is utterly brutal.

There is basically no section of that schedule where you can find a pocket of games they can get some easy wins.

I guess @SAS, @HOU, Was?

Not inconceivable they go 3-0, but I think SAS can beat them. But past that, there are maybe two games I'd favor them in the rest of the way unless AD is back and playing at a high level.

Yeah it will be tough.
Denver was red hot, and lost to OKC last night.
Memphis lost to the Blazers recently.
Utah almost lost to Houston last night, needed overtime.

We need to win at least 1 of them.

12-8 would be ok, but i'd like to see it at 13-7 with how they are playing right now.

Yeah that’s their easiest three game stretch but I also think @SAS isn’t guaranteed. The only games I’d feel good taking the Lakers is @Hou WAS and @OKC. Their biggest problem (other than the strength of schedule) is that every team in the NBA sees that blood in the water and wants a piece of the Lakers. They are in the unenviable position that both good teams and bad aren’t going to sleep on their games.

May sound silly, but imo, another variable is that I do not think any of the Western teams that are gonna be in the playoffs for sure...will take it easy on the Lakers down the stretch. There's still that SMALL chance that...AD could be ready at some point in the playoffs...LeBron could explode and start playing great on both ends of the court and...Westbrook might actually make a 3-pt shot, before the year is over.

Those playoff teams on the Lakers schedule would just as soon go ahead & put the Lakers out of their misery, and not take a chance on having to play them in the playoffs. Could see them resting players against teams like us...but goin' for the jugular...vs the Lakers.

Prolly not, but for this team to battle their asses off and get back to .500 after starting 1-12 and losing BI for a chunk of the season would be huge.

All I need is 14-6 for my pels over 39.5 wins bet to hit. Is that too much to ask for?

I'm hoping for some distance in the standings between GS and Memphis at the last week of the season - if they are locked in to their respective 2nd and 3rd seeds and don't have much to play for, those could be 2 end of season Pels wins.

Who we pulling for tonight? One hand would be nice to catch the Clips, but feels like we cheer against the Lakers no matter what
