Does anyone know why we don't put chuck in at FB like we did with Hester last year and throw Kieland back to dot the I? It seems like we could get some good success with some dive/toss option. Just wanted to see if anybody knows something I don't know.

Johnson is a good FB hes a better blocker than Scott. Why put Scott at FB and risk an injury while hes blocking for a RB that is not as good as him?

Scott>>>>KW at RB
Johnson > Scott at FB

Let's take the most valuable player on the offense (who happpens to be in the heisman discussion at the moment), then move him to a position he has never played at this level. . .and a position that has someone playing at an excellent level (as long as he doesn't have the ball)

That makes sense. Come on, cut the guy some slack.

Forget it man, if the coaches didn't see the writing on the wall to move Trindon to DE, Charles won't be playing FB.

I've started to just watch Q. Johnson on running plays lately. He blows people up. Its unbelievable. He's such an intimidator, not having him in at FB is just foolish. He keeps LBs on their heels.

For 2 or 3 snaps a game as another wrinkle, it's not a bad idea.

I'm almost positive that I saw this against MSU.

Because this isn't a video game.

I'm pretty sure a lot of us know a lot more than you know. You know?

You did.

Its actually a pretty good idea. Keeps the defense on their toes. It would really spread out the running game, especially if Murphy was behind CS.

Hester was a better blocker and receiver than Scott, thus making the fullback position more natural to him.

Why put Scott in a position to utilize his worst two running back skills (blocking and receiving)and virtually eliminate his best skill (running the ball down someone's throat)?

I believe that everyone is refering to putting him in the FB slot, not actually using him as a fullback. So as to have two of our talented backs in the same backfield with no idea which style will be used.

Who says he cant get the ball at fullback position?

Thats what would make the move awesome. Chuck is at fullback. He could get the ball, or the RB could get the ball. The defense would have to stay tight. Open up the pitch, or just give it to him anyway. Im not saying do this every time, but once in a while throw this at them.

Even run a play action pass. Who would think in that formation that we would pass the ball?

It keeps us unpredictable, which so far Crowton has done successfully.

Did you really have to start a thread to call him Chuck?
