Al my guns are pre rem Marlins so not an issue but there are several manufacturers of lever parts ( bear tooth mercantile and ranger point) that have safety deletes that replaces the safety and it just looks like it’s an extra screw.
You can still use the half cock as god and John Wayne intended for carrying with a round in the chamber.

Being that Marlin was putting a safety already when Ruger acquired them, I don’t think there’s a chance in hell they could go without the safety from a legal standpoint.
Some idiots have an accidental discharge and lawyers start licking their lips because they used to have a safety, but chose to do away with that.
