Would you buy a PPV of Serena Williams against a random male pro tennis player?

Per commercials she is the best tennis player in the US, maybe the world. Would you purchase a viewing of a match of her destroying a professional male player?

Playing an old guy like McEnroe a few years ago would have been fun/ interesting.

Yeah, we have done this thread a few times. I always heard through the years that number 300 male destroys the number 1 female. I respect lsupride87's opinion and I think he says he would go up to like 2,000 for the males to beat the number one female. I will say there is a massive drop off between prime Serena 15 years ago and like the tenth ranked woman. I think 2,000 ranked male definitely destroys the number 10 woman.

10 years ago, 53 year old McEnroe versus 30 year old Serena would have been fascinating. Not sure who I would take.

2000 and down at least, the woman wouldn't get a set, maybe not a point.

Serena said herself like 10 years ago on Letterman that she probably couldn't beat, much less score a point, on any of the top male players in the world.

She said they are "two different sports."

She also basically admitted that she probably couldn't even return serve against the guys.

Serena, as many flaws as she has, has never said she would do anything of the sort. It's all been the media's bullshite fantasy talk.

Absolutely

That was after she said she could beat any guy outside the top 200. An Australian dude (in the low 200s) beat her and and Venus back to back easily in training. She changed her tune quickly.

Serena is not going to do shot now. At the top of her game I believe the 2000 assessment is solid but honestly there are tons of guys that don’t want to mess around with the little tournaments to get a ranking like that. They would rather have a real job and support their family. I suspect there are 4000 males in the world at least who could have beat her when she was number one. She is also not like any other female player ever in the terms of her athleticism, strength, and size.

Remember when Brittney Griner said she could beat DeMarcus Cousins 1 on 1? Yeah…..

Female players are lucky that they play the same tournaments as the males. I doubt they would make as much money if the top men and women played at different venues.

We’re probably about 2 years for a tranny playing in the womens tour so you will have a definitive answer soon enough

I mean, statistically she is.

Doesn't mean she wouldn't get worked by a random dude that is a professional..

Never been a Serena fan but after listening to her talk here I respect the hell out of her. She is very level headed.

No. At best she’s “the most dominant” tennis player relative to their competition or something to that effect. But even then why not go find some 3rd grader that is even better when compared to other 3rd graders? Are they not the best?

But the best tennis player in the world doesn’t
