Seems you’re more than willing to give a blank check to Taiwan. This blank check is possibly preventing the other and all the greater suffering that comes with it. You shouldn’t have a problem with this in this line of thinking.

With Taiwan, while saving the people is a major perk, it’s not about that. It’s about preserving the world order and the status of every life around the world. It’s a much different and difficult scenario than what we’re dealing with in Ukraine.
