Brian Flores adding the Texans to his lawsuit and not the Saints is very stupid. He was the first candidate the Texans interviewed and he got a second interview to become a finalist. The Saints interviewed him after the lawsuit came out and didn't even hire a minority coach. Both the Texans and Saints hired their DC over hiring outside of the organization. It makes zero sense to me.

Flores doing anything outside of "wrongful termination" against the Miami Dolphins is dumb, and might have his entire case thrown out because there would be nothing, but speculation.

Hiring inside/outside the organization and/or hiring a minority candidate or not have nothing to do with the Rooney Rule.

Yeah but for the Saints and Texans it was a legit interview before decision had been made by both teams

The Giants apparently made their decision and then interviewed Flores

I think they hooked the giants in more for venue and choice of law purposes.

I don’t know how dumb the overall lawsuit is in terms of merit, but the fact that his lawyers cited Plessy v. Ferguson as the landmark SCOTUS case that made desegregation ILLEGAL and/or UNCONSTITUTIONAL, is just absolutely inexcusable wrong and baffling. And it tells me that whatever merit there is to his case, his current lawyers are not in position to successfully argue it.

So if you don’t hire a black coach, you can get sued. If you fire one, you get sued. So essentially, you’re on pins and needles 24/7.

While i agree it is looking stupid what he brought to the table for the argument. I don't think the argument itself that black coaches aren't getting a fair shake is completely false.

You are speculating. It’s impossible for you to know.
