Let Me Educate Some Folks on the Last Offensive Set.

The ball was placed in the hands of our senior guard and senior forward. Pinson comes off the screen. He has two options that depend on corner defenders response. If he sinks to stop the drive you kick to Days and if he doesn’t you go to hole. Corner man sunk kicks to Days and unfortunately he missed.
This play allows for 3 guys to crash the boards as well.
It’s the same play we ran when Waters beat Maryland.
We got a good open look just didn’t knock it down.

That’s a valid argument but if you do go sooner and make it the reverse side of the coin is leaving time for the opponent. I normally just want enough time for an offensive rebound.

In that Maryland scenario we were tied and not down by 1. There was one screen set for Waters and basically everyone cleared out so he could drive. If he had kicked it out for a 3 pointer it would not have mattered because we weren’t down in that scenario.

The last shot was not fine. We were down 1 with 15 seconds left. Days throwing up a 3 from the corner is never ok. Give it to Eason inside and you get 2 points or 2 free throws. The uneducated fans logic will not work with this disaster of a play call.

I disagree. The right play is putting the ball on the glass. He makes it, he’s fouled, or we have guys crashing for a put back. A kick out 3 is low percentage. Days isn’t a sharp shooter. That’s a major difference

It was a fine play, didnt like it in a situation where we’re down 1 and holding for the last shot

You need to drive to the basket for two. Every step closer to the basket is a higher percentage shot. You needed two to win and you shot a frickin three. STUPID!!!!!

Hey dipshit the play was designed for Pinson to drive it but he was held and had to kick it out. Days was the 3rd option.

You don’t shoot a fricking 3 down one point with 20 seconds on the clock. That simple! You run multiple screens, make the defense screw up and get an easy shot.
