Brian Flores gets a job with the Steelers

Flores, who was most recently the head coach of the Miami Dolphins (2019-21), has over 14 years of coaching experience in the NFL along with four years in a personnel role (New England Patriots, 2004-07).
"I am excited about Brian Flores joining our coaching staff given his history of developing and teaching defensive players during his time in the NFL," Steelers Head Coach Mike Tomlin said. "Brian's resume speaks for itself, and I look forward to him adding his expertise to help our team."
Flores played collegiately at Boston College before moving into personnel roles with the Patriots for four years. He then went on to coach various positions for New England over 11 seasons, which led to his hiring as Head Coach of the Dolphins in 2019. In three seasons in Miami, he led the Dolphins to a 24-25 overall record and guided the team to back-to-back winning seasons for the first time in nearly 20 years. He was relieved of his duties as Miami's head coach last month.

Crazy that he even went to being a HC from being just a LB coach for 3 yrs. Back to where he belongs as a position coach.

No doubt. I didn’t mean that I thought he’d have more options especially after that statement regarding the Texans and Lovie. More so that I thought he was all in on this lawsuit path…then he just takes a job as a position coach.

It doesn’t sound like Flores lost his job with the Dolphins because he’s a bad coach. He apparently lost it because he can’t get along with others, like the general manager or the quarterback. Coincidentally, both of them are also minorities so just maybe his firing had nothing to do with racism.

One player of which was Minkah Fitzpatrick the short time he was there. Now Flores is a senior defense assistant (though he’ll probably focus on the LBs not DBs) on that defense. Interesting to see if anything happens between them.

Ignoring all of the bitching and complaining he's been doing, I think it's pretty obvious that Flores is a major a-hole. He's got the right to be but don't go blaming others for you being an unlikable prick.
