When the regionals were still actually regional, they went to Omaha a lot.

That is correct...regionals were actually regionals (where teams only from that geographic regional played) and Maine came from the Northest regionals to the CWS many times!

I think several of the Maine Cabin Masters were on those teams, correct?

Would have just shown how little you know about baseball. Maine was a damn good program at the time.

It felt like Maine used to be regular series in the first month of the season in the 90s.

I remember being mortified back in 1996 or 1997 when the Tigers lost both games of a two-game series at home to Northwestern State. For a day or two I really felt that the end was near for Skip.

Maine made it to the college world series 5 times in the 80’s. No one thought they were a pushover in 1992.

Maine was good in the early 90’s. Went to Omaha a couple of times. Think they had a couple of guys who made it to the bigs on that team.

That was back when a regional was actually regional. They were good for their location but not really that great outside of the NE. Once the regional format changed, they disappeared.

Maine used to have a great baseball program. So probably not as bad as now. Also. We were a little less entitled at that time.
