Just got done watching. When Brooks made his par on 18, the crowd started chanting USA USA USA. I wonder how many of them know the entire group of Koepka, Schauffele, and Theegala all play under the US flag.

Crazy that they allow fans to throw beer cans. How someone didn’t get seriously injured is a miracle. What idiots feel a full beer can hurled at anyone is a good idea is beyond me.
The players should say something about it.

These golfers hit a hard ball going over 60 mph into crowds all the time. Think of this as fans having a single moment of returning the favor in a small, equally risky way. Whatever it takes for you to rationalize it since you can’t handle it simply being an awesome moment with an awesome, unique reaction.

I was thinking the same thing about the USA chants. I have been told (and have read)by visiting people(foreigners) the USA chants at events like this is very confusing and not exactly taken well by most visiting. They say other places may do the native country chants(ex. ole ole olé) but just yelling out your country is done no where else in the world. Ryder cup and others it makes sense.

Go over to the soccer board and ask them about Mexican fans.

You’re assuming they were being prejudice to Sahith despite him being from Chino Hills and playing for Pepperdine. Kid is whiter than me
I have a hard time believing this because the fan support for him was above and beyond the others in his pairing. Not to mention 90% of that crowd was blackout.

I am not assuming anything. The USA chants just simply made no sense

I mean, it’s one of noisier events on tour…. What else should they chant?

No baw, I'm good.
Places I avoid:
1) Areas with streets named after presidents, Indians, or states.
2) The Soccer Board.

Cocaine and 12 hours of drinking tends to create irrational behavior

The leaderboard is awesome. American Ryder Cup bullies

I’ve been thinking they’re directed at Xander
Since he won gold

Well, they chanted it when Ortiz (from Mexico) made a hole in one today on 16.

It's a pretty cool event, but of course, the fans are ruining it. WM lets the fans push the line, and of course the fans have to cross that line. Just toss the liquid in the air, a-la, Miss State baseball games. No need to endanger anyone by throwing cans.
