Supposed BlizzConline 2022 (if it had happened) leaks

LINK
TLDR:
- Overwatch 2 CBT starts in late Feb. Public Test in mid March. Three new heroes (Sojourn, Mauga, Yako).
- Warcraft: Grimoire is a lore bible / ebook store app coming this summer.
- WoW expansion is Ashes of Galakaros.
- New hero class: Tinker (tank/dps/healer).
- Galakaros (aka the Dragon Isles) is on the far side of Azeroth. Primordial, volcanic islands.
- Origin of the Dragonflights, and all life on Azeroth. Elune will be important.
- Home to draconic wildlife, stranded Black Empire cultists, Uld facility.
- New Renown system called Accords, which are like Covenants but ONLY have cosmetics. Dragonsworn abilities for each spec.
- "The living world" is a new endgame world content model that will gradually revamp new zones on the Eastern Kingdoms and Kalimdor while telling a constantly evolving story. World Quests, reputation grinds, treasures, rares, etc. Evergreen endgame content.
- Living world is a long term project that will take many years, starting with Darkshore, Arathi, and Tanaris, and progress from there over time.
- Cross faction play will eventually be extend to world content and guilds, possibly reputations and languages.
Seems like a controlled leak? The account that made the topic is banned but the topic didn't get banned? Super suspect.

I'll bet my 401k that if humans still exist in 2035, Microsoft will still be releasing WoW expansions.
fricking Everquest is still spitting out expansions.

Didn’t they say a Warcraft mobile game was coming?

I was speaking somewhat facetiously when I said that, but it wouldn't surprise me if Blizzard stopped putting resources into WoW and left it on glorified maintenance mode at some point.
SOE...Daybreak Games...Darkpaw Games...whatever they are has always done a great job of supporting their games. I believe both EQ and EQ2 receive near-annual expansions.
I believe it's a pretty apples to oranges comparison though. First, modern EQ and EQ2 expansions are glorified "live updates" and have been for years. Usually 1-2 new zones, a couple dungeons, and maybe a raid or two.
Secondly, Darkpaw Games really has to operate this way in order to stay alive. If the EQ franchise dies, they die.
Blizzard doesn't need to keep dumping money into a dying game the way a smaller developer might. They can just cut their losses and move on to a World of Warcraft successor of some kind.
