Is there a "go to" website y'all look at when trying to decide if a bottle of booze is a good price or not?
Didn't realize how much prices vary from store to store, especially online
TIA

Just do a quick Google search for what you've bought/are thinking of buying, and that will give you a general idea of the market.

Most liquor stores price to their demographic.

I have 15 years of my purchases with price and my opinion of it in a Google Keep file. It's the only way I can track when something is new or I've had it before. I should have built an app/database by now, but I just make quick notes.

Download the BoozApp. The Avg. MSRP seems to be pretty accurate to the base price.

Just go to Costco and get what you want to drink. And don't overlook their signature Kirkland brand of liquors either.

Well, more than once I forgot that I had something before and didn't like it, so I started writing it all down. Nothing crazy. I still screw it up sometimes because I miss something due to the list being so damn long. I mean, it's not that long. I'm not adding more than 10-15 per year, and for the first 7 years it's really just by a few notes I had and memory.
I also look things up on the internet. specsonline.com is a great place to check, I know they will be cheaper on most everything outside of some that are local to my area (mid-TN), but it's still a gauge to use.

quote:this -- googling the name and total wine usually gets you the total wine listing which should be close to the MSRP. Prices do vary by store/region however.
