Yea people who support Wade are blind to be in top 4 in SEC the last 3 years and 4 straight ncaas after this program was completely irrelevant for a decade. Who has the best record in the SEC over the last 3 years?
Yes, he deserves criticism for the collapse this year but if you’re honest with yourself, the talent isn’t great on this team. Days is who he is - an inconsistent player who tries very hard. Lot of the high stars are really young and Eason has huge faults. It should still be a tourney team and if he doesn’t make it this year, that’s an atrocious job.
But, look at the talent coming in next year. It has the chance to be one of the more talented LSU teams in recent memory. We have to be realistic about LSU basketball - to be in position with this type of talent is the exception rather than the rule for our program. Yet under Wade we continually are getting some great talent.
We’re all emotional about the collapse but calling for Will’s job at this point is absurd.

I too long for the days of Daddy Dale.

so many posters support the individual coach rather than the LSU basketball program. I don’t get it.
We saw the same thing with Miles and Orgeron.
Coaches and players come and go. I support the program.

When do we start holding him accountable?

It’s even worse than the “remember the 90s!” crowd defending Miles’ toss dive left, toss dive right teams year after year.

There are legitimate criticisms of Wade. But saying he should be on the hot seat right now is ridiculous. Coach Cal went 9–16 last year. Pearl went 13–14.

Wade is a poor coach; great recruiter, but a poor coach.

I have been saying and not it is becoming more and more obvious. The Simply CANNOT Coach. He DOES NOT KNOW what he is doing. Analytics and are recruiting. ZERO X’s and O’s Or basic technical coaching ability. ZERO!
