Whoopi was right and wrong about Holocaust.
Where she was wrong is that history tells us that Jews were a race and a religion and were target by the Germans.
Where she was right, In America, Jewish is never list as a option for race. It's always listed under the Religions options.
Should US start categorizing Jews as a race on official documentation?
Also, I have always wondered when South African Charlize Theron fills out paper, under race, does she say she's African American or White?

I would agree that Judaism is an ethnicity, but not a race. Race is far more nebulous than ethnicity. “Black” can include a woman whose grandfather is from Jamaica and a man whose father is from Kenya. “Jew” refers to people of different races who have a similar ethnos.
