Lost in shuffle of the DBs we picked up in the portal and the few HS kids we signed is Pig.

He may never be 1st team All American but that young man stood out in what was for most a disappointing bowl game.

He played with an attitude and swagger that reminded me of DBU and how we got that name.

It’s going to be hard to keep him off the field if he plays like that in the spring and summer.

He really did. At the very least he is depth that won't opt out and will rep louisiana.

I'd love to see him in some 3rd down blitz packages next year. Maybe we could see more CB blitzes this year

Reminded me a little of Ron Brooks. That CB that was never 1st or 2nd string but always balled the frick out when given the opportunity.

Also one that made plays all over the field and was lethal in the slot.

If a valid compare, that's stout.

His family all sat by me at a home game last season… they had custom pig cage shirts with pictures of him on it… his mom specially designed them… was nice…
Appeared to be a tight family…

Is he primarily a CB, safety, nickel or a hybrid type LB?

Completely agree with this and also with it's going to be hard to keep him off the field.

Ready for football already!

Langlois will start next year. He is a flat out baller and can fly.

Needs to play faster. Looked slow on the field with hesitancy.

thank you. I couldn't quite put my finger on the player comparison- but Brooks is it.

(addressing OP): that wasn't that disappointing of a bowl game to me. 4 OL that had no reason whatsoever stayed and played. Kirklin (nuff said). Jenkins staying around. And the subject of this post- Pig Cage. All of them were great to see in their own ways. Those guys now have a special place in LSU lore.

Pig played hard before he got hurt. I'd say, to use a cliche, he played beyond his abilities. But that's inaccurate- he showed us what he can be and he played beyond his recruiting stars. Well beyond.

Guys that want to go out there and lay the wood will always get game reps. We will see more of Pig in the future.

Sounds like a step slower version of honey badger
About same size I think
Maybe HB should coach him up.....he indicated he wanted to be a coach one day....so show us he can create another HB

Sure as hell played like Honey a Badger in the bowl game. Dude was in the backfield constantly making open field tackles.

Give me that baw in the slot and he can wreck havoc.
