Like every other sport I feel like Woody wants to bring his own guy. It’s the last big hire he would have to make to have own Hires in place.

Really a bad take, the great ADs (Woody in mix) could give a rat’s arse about how the great coach is acquired (inherited or hired). Extensions rarely are finalized in season.

I have total confidence (as should you with BK, JJ, and KM) that Woody isn’t letting someone who has made LSU basketball relevant and recruiting at top 5 level out the door. If he’s paying $900k for Hankton, Wade will get his and likely in top 10 salaries of all CBB coaches.

So tell which of the other hires he has made that required him to shitcan a coach who seemed to be on an upward trajectory.

If woody wanted Wade gone he could have canned him when he came in like Alleva was about to.
