Definitely a different standard compared to an offensive catch. Year after year we keep hearing about needing a hand under the ball otherwise contact with the ground while making a catch is considering ground assisting in the catch.

That’s all I’m saying. I don’t think if that’s a reviver catching a ball from a QB they call it the same way

The ground doesn't matter in the NFL. As long as you have control of the ball it can touch the ground.
