Looking for a game or two for the wife and I to play together

Xbox One. Want to play split screen. She's not a super varied gamer. She basically likes racing stuff, like Nascar, or Super Mario Kart which we've overplayed at this point. We both love The Crew 2, but alas only one can play at a time.
So essentially something racing that may, if not preferably, have a slight goofy element, as well as have other modes like open world or side competitions like the coin runners or cops and robbers in Mario Kart for the Switch.
Wished she could play either Portal game with me, but she's not very good with the moving AND looking at the same time. So no COD kind of stuff unfortunately. Maybe there's a fun platformer out there? Something without too many crazy mechanics going on at once?
I thought about Rocket League, and I'm trying to finish downloading Nascar Heat 5 (extremely slow internet) in the next night or two to unlock two-player mode (after a certain download point you can play the game but in a limited mode)--she seemed to like even single player racing on it.

Unravel
Unravel 2
Minecraft Dungeons
The Lego Games
A Way Out
My wife has big-time trouble looking and moving at the same time as well. One game that surprised me that she absolutely loved was Diablo 3

Greatest co-op experience ever IMO.
Devious will be here shortly to tell you about the time we played for about 2 or 3 hours one night and then never again.

Thanks so much, y'all. I've heard of a few of these games. But it's good to good to hear them in a context that they may work well for us, and then kind of bookmark them here for when I'm trying to think of them. You know how it is--I can think of a million things I need but when I'm at the store trying to actually pick stuff out, man I go blank.

Sounds like devious.
I cried multiple times laughing at the wife. I’m not sure how well received the game was but the coop experience was great.

I know RE fans weren't big on it, but I had no background with the series so it was just a really good co-op shooter to me. I played on 360 (dev and I tried it on PC and I think that port was garbage at the time) and I got every achievement except for the multiplayer stuff. Me and a friend played through it multiple times during a weekend.

See if you can get Castle Crashers. It's fun and goofy.

OP, It Takes Two is on Game Pass. If you don't have it currently, I believe you can do a 3 month run of it for only $1, or at least that was the promo the last time I checked.

Seconded. Why Capcom hasn't made more RE games co-op the way 5 was is a travesty. Bonus points for Albert Wesker being such a badass.

Don't know if it's a switch exclusive or not but overcooked (2) is a pretty fun multi-player gamr

It Takes Two is the answer. Very fun, well made game—not to mention the storyline revolves around the struggles of marriage and overcoming them.
