While I wouldnt put snow forecast for next weekend in BR at this point in time, the setup is about as good as it gets for snow and cold on the gulf coast.

I remember when most of the SE wouldn't get a snow forecast until the day before. Those old school mets knew the score. You don't go giving a week to get folk's hopes up. They'll tar and feather your arse in a heartbeat.

Then, you should have no problem talking about the Great New Orleans Blizzard of 2022, right?

Just kidding, I know what you're saying.

This is interesting you are getting that forecast bc my weather app shows a low of 25 and high of 41 for BR on Saturday.

The one we got in 2008 was pretty good at our house. We probably got more where we lived in that one than the one in 2017. The youngest was 2 at the time though and she wasn't really impressed

The absolute horror we had in West Monroe last year made my kids hate the snow after about 5 hours.

2008 to present has been a golden era for snow in BR.

I’d put it up against the 60s and the 80s.

Then the nosedive into single digits.

The 12/24/89 evening newscast has been linked here and is interesting to watch. Busy news day.

I’m also in Prairieville (kinda) and I received 6” that day. Did you measure your snow only after the first couple hours? It snowed it’s ever living arse off that day.
