I've read this story twice and I still don't understand what's happening. What does this "rant", whether it was Tim Allen or not, have to do with this announcement? Are they trying to suppress publicity because Tim Allen doesn't toe the Hollywood line?

Not necessarily publicity, that’s just what this happened to be, but they were trying to stop any exposure to Tim Allen altogether.

It looks like their algorithm is set to suppress anything that mentions Tim Allen.

Morons spread fake quotes falsely attributed to Tim Allen to the point that Facebook’s algorithms targeted his name when it appears with certain keywords or phrases. The promotional post had his name and enough of the same keywords to trigger the warning. You can search “Tim Allen” on Facebook and find thousands of posts, photos, and videos. He isn’t banned from Facebook.
