So who was forced to get the vax to stay employed?

What are your thoughts, feelings and next move?
Do you stay with this company or do you move on from them?
Not sure you can sue them, but I am not a lawyer.

I think the people who were fired for not taking the shot would have a lawsuit.

Legal battles have only just begun. I’m curious to see how this will all play out

You can sue for anything.
You won't win, but you can try.

I ended up getting the vaccine last October. Company gave us a deadline of Jan. 4th to be vaccinated or terminated. Still pissed about it, especially now that there are people still working here that are unvaccinated.

There was rumor that it was going to be forced at our company so a lot of people got it just to make life easier.
I held out and now several people wish they would have held out longer.
I am getting charged $10 per week for being not being vaxxed which I think is complete bullshite.

A private company can fire you for not having pink hair. Why do you think a company should be prohibited from requiring a vaccine as a condition of at will employment?

Not mandatory yet for my job and as long as it stays that way, I won't get the vaccine.

Can they require all women that get pregnant to have abortions? It’s currently a legal act, called healthcare, and prevents work disruptions.

The Supreme Court.
If they fire people for not having kool-aid hair, that's grounds for a lawsuit.

They do not and should not. The SCOTUS case was about if the government can institute a vaxx mandate on private companies.
Private companies should have the freedom to do as they choose. If they want to implement their own vax mandate and run off employees, so be it. Just like a baker should be able to choose if they don't want to bake a cake for a gay couple.

Fortunately sounds like you’re ok. May want to notify HR you’ve been having chest pains and dizziness since you took the illegally mandated forced jab to save your job, and you are happy others did not comply like you did and potentially avoided long term health issues.

If you live in an area where a local vaccine mandate is in place, you likely won’t have any water to your case because Jacobson v. Massachusetts establishes on the state level that a vaccine mandate can be issued and it’s been challenged a ton of times in its existence.
Before moving to my new job, my school district required either a vaccine or you had to test weekly.

My employer originally stated they were going to implement a vaccine mandate, but they ended up backtracking on that. Instead, they just ended up re-implementing a mask mandate.
I figured a bunch of people must have complained and lit a fire under hr so that the company decided to compromise.
Although Ive been vaccinated almost a year, so it wouldn't have personally affected me. I hate having to wear masks again, but I guess that's better than people having to lose their jobs.

I agree, but if I was fired for something trivial the lawsuit is coming.

If you got vaxxed under duress will you leave your current employer? Did you start looking yesterday?

What is this fee termed? Non compliance fee?

Our jobs were never threatened. They just offered some pretty nice incentives for getting it, so 95% of us got the shots
