You can only take 7 in the portal if you sign a complete class.

You can also give players NIL deals that cover all their expenses of school without them being on scholarship so the 25 + 7 (if done right) is a moot point.

Can someone with actual knowledge of the academic eligibility rules as they apply to transfer portal please explain how/if a kid can be ineligible at one school and portal to another and play immediately?
Is it only transfer to a JuCo? Outside the SEC?
Or as it should be, have to sit out a year no matter where they transfer?

The two teams playing last night have minimal to no issues with players being on time and doing what they’re supposed to do. Players hold other players accountable. That’s elite culture and something BK is trying to reestablish here.

Depends what team they are transferring to. Some schools can play new transfers who didn’t even attend any classes at their former school somehow. Other schools get transfers who were academically ineligible and they have to sit a year.

By all accounts, Dwight was a jokester and very immature. I realize he’s 19 or 20, but you have an obligation to be accountable and handle your business correctly on and off the field as a college athlete.
CBK is coming from 10+ years at ND. The kids he had there were grounded, good academically, and more mature. He probably had a culture shock when he met the kids at LSU. I don’t blame him for gutting the program and starting over.

He was one of the best players on our team with a winner mindset, really tough loss here.

He had a few good games but was regularly toasted. I wish the young man the best. We are LSU and will be ok.

This is a symptom of not just LSU, but our world today. Many of us are struggling not to move in the wrong direction, myself included. Life is hard. There's no easy out. No self control, accountability, self discipline, or spiritual focus on a Supreme Authority. We need help. Football is not God. Downvote away.

Done. The kid didn't take things seriously enough, that's nothing new and isn't "our world today."

I’m actually loving this.
Cut these frickers loose who can’t get it together in all aspects of being a collegiate athlete at LSU.

Not a single other sec school is suspending their football players for weed. That's what I was inferring

In ‘19, Burrow played against a MSU team that had 8 players suspended for that game for weed. Ole miss had several 2 years ago. Georgia and South Carolina have also had multiple in previous years. Do we know why Dare didn’t play in KU’s bowl game? Team rules huh??? Hmmmmm do we need to think too hard?
