It could be worse. They could be the NBA.
Even though I’m not a big NBA fan they are doing some things right. The NBA has constant fan buzz and engagement online that you don’t get with the MLB. The NBA is also pretty popular with younger demographics while the hardcore MLB fan base seems to be aging. The NBA also does a far better job of marketing their stars than the MLB.

I seriously had no idea there was a lockout. Oh well.

Nor did most.

Fans are seriously moving away from sports.

The NBA is already Dead Man Walking.

f you play the best college football team vs the worst NFL team, the NFL team would literally never lose. If you play the best college basketball team vs the worst NBA team, the NBA team would never lose. You can't say the same for the best college baseball team vs the worst MLB team, even if you take out the aluminum bat. They would easily have a better chance of winning compared to the other 2.

That’s just because of how the game is played. It still takes most college guys several years to even see major league action. Im 90% certain from looking at MLB stats the average MLB age is older than both NBA and NFL.

Love baseball but MLB has too many teams now. Very diluted product. Was better when it was the best of the best.

NFL on borrowed time. So is MLB. CFB is dying because of NIL NBA is dead. We won't have any sports in a few years. People are a bunch of drama queens on here.

Look around you. The country and the entire globe are on fire. Don’t think that sports will be immune to that.

Every time the White Sox actually have a good squad a lockout ruins everything ??. 94 strike and now this. Ironically enough our cheap frick owner Reinsdorf is one of the keys cogs always behind these

At least you have 2005 to fall back on.

Uh…….no. Even if you let the college team keep the metal bat and the pros had to use wood, the college team would still never win. Never.

When talking college baseball attendance you should combine all 3 weekend games when you compare with college basketball or WNBA

I'll always cheer for LSU... but college baseball in general just isn't a good product. Watching it compared to MLB is like watching the WNBA compared to the NBA.

Totally agree.

I love LSU, but just have never really been able to get into college baseball. And I watch MLB most every evening during the season...really enjoy the pro game.

And the "DINK" of the aluminum bat...yuck.

Yea, this thread is dumb. College baseball continues to grow in popularity year over year.

MLB commission is the leagues own worst enemy. MLB needs to oust his dumbass and fix the dumbass blackout rules.

Also need to take steps to create more parity, be it salary cap or whatever. Expanded playoffs was fun.

1994’s is the one that drove me away from MLB. I think I watched maybe 2 games of the Cubs/Indians WS since then and that’s it. This is not the way to keep fans staying engaged with their product.
