It's been said that apathy is worse than anger. If that's true, MLB could be in trouble. We're more than a month into the MLB lockout, with negotiations basically non-existent, spring training reporting dates creeping closer, and lots of sports fans greeting it all with a full-throated ... meh.

MLB doesn't play or delays its season it might as well kiss all the good will good bye.

Missing more time of Trouts career not to mention Verlander, Max, DeGrom, Cole, Judge, Acuna, Soto, etc would be a travesty

Canceled half the season in 2020

Took a Politicized stake with the ASG clownshow

Another labor dispute with the union

Antiquated streaming/blackout policies

It could be worse. They could be the NBA.

I love watching college baseball. Rarely watch majors.

ESPN doesn’t like promoting college baseball, though. They’d rather show empty WNBA arenas and empty WBB gyms than show a well seated college baseball stadium.

Right

They could easily fill weekend programming with a Vandy at LSU baseball series or ole miss or state weekends when it’s 30,000+ for the games and the atmosphere is fun

Smarter than Gary Bettman.

Bettman should have told whatever network had the 1994 World Series that they could take any NHL game they wanted for those time slots, free of charge, as long as that game wasn't already claimed.

I'll always cheer for LSU... but college baseball in general just isn't a good product. Watching it compared to MLB is like watching the WNBA compared to the NBA.

The defense alone is lightyears apart.

MLB is the hardest league by far to make it into, especially with 1/3 of the league being foreign now.

Yup. I love it college baseball but the skill level between the two is night and day. The women’s college World Series outdrew the men in terms of TV ratings last year.
