Why get tested? Or report to anyone that you were sick at all? I tell my boss, pretty sure I got the Rona, "OK, stay home a couple days." No biggie, go to work like normal. Omicron is more of a little bitch than the original Rona.

People get tested because they’re too stupid to see this for what it is.

The only people who should get tested are those mandated by employment.

BREAKING NEWS!!!!

Reports are indicating that Americans are functioning the same as they always have with the common cold and flu, of which Covid is no different.

The hyper paranoia driven by the combined political and media front has stressed people’s general sensibilities about the virus. Of course compromised and truly sick people should get tested but to many have forgotten that colds and viruses have always been a part of our lives.. the mental stability of the world has fractured to dangerous levels.

Good.

My son told me on the way to school this morning that even if he starts feeling bad, he's not getting tested so that he doesn't have to miss five days(or whatever of school).

He got sent home twice last year for close contact crap and isn't playing this game anymore.

Because the newest variant is so mild that it could pass for a cold, at best, in most cases. Even the most pro-vaccine people understand this. This is a good thing.

When CDC reduced the quarantine and isolation times last week, the twitter bots went nuts that big business was driving the policy and their lives were being put in danger.

Unfortunately, the sheeple watch the media and go into panic mode. Wanting to get tested even though they're not sick, and have zero symptoms.

My mother lost her mind watching the news during IDA. I told her to turn it off...

soooo you’ve got the sniffles. don’t waste a half day off work to go wait in a mile long line to get tested. Unless your place of employment cares, wtf does it matter?

This is why I got tested, along with my son so he could get back to daycare sooner. My wife tested positive on an at-home test after losing her sense of smell, so we were already in quarantine mode.

That was back in September though so it was easy to make an appointment and drive through.

I was close contact on Christmas Eve with someone who tested positive and didn't bother to get tested again, I figured if I started really feeling bad I would, but never did.

radical policy,

Are you sick? Stay home

Are you not sick? You can work

Americans are starting to wrap their head around this new frontier.

All part of the plan.
Oh it’s not a vaccine mandate, just get tested weekly.
Well there’s no tests out there.
Oh well just get vaccinated then and you don’t have to worry.

It’s bullshite

Tested positive yesterday. Woke up Wednesday with a slight fever and a bit of a head cold. Outside of a little congestion I feel fine.

SHUT IT DOWN.

But the vaccine doesn't stop anyone from getting or spreading COVID.
Oh then you should also get tested.
Well there's no tests out there.
Oh well just get your booster then and you don't have to worry.

My favorite is the argument of “well if you weren’t vaccinated, your symptoms would’ve been worse for a lot longer”

bullshite, people in my family who aren’t vaccinated have never been positive for COVID or have been asymptotic.

Where as those of us who have been vaccinated have caught every variant so far.

frick my work for mandating this shite.

How does that help anyone?

If you’re very sick treat it like you would any other sickness.

‘Very sick’ is subjective.

Best practices backed by centuries of actual science: If you have a fever stay your arse at home and hydrate. Seek medical attention if fever increases quickly. If you don’t have a fever in past 48 hours so, then you’re not contagious.

Asymptomatic spread is unproven IMO because it doesn’t have the proven evidence to support. I don’t buy any evidence that appeared in the past 2 years either.

Deepest pockets buy the science needed for talking points.
