Just got back from getting almost $500 of fireworks. Good selection and you can scan the fireworks and see on the monitor what they look like live. Pretty cool.

Only complaint is that when I asked for itemized receipt they would not/could not provide one. Seemed shady. We had all sorts of miscellaneous crap and I was just curious as to how much everything rang up for plus I was buying some for a friend and wasn’t sure how much his portion was. Was strange. First they said the printer didn’t work, then they were able to print but only credit card receipt. I asked if she could just snap a picture of itemized order on her computer and she said no, they weren’t set up to show that and couldn’t do it. I could see the items ringing up on her screen as she was scanning and I assume they have some inventory system otherwise the system wouldn’t know how much the items were or the total. Was a very odd interaction.

Besides that, all was good. Just seemed shady that I couldn’t see what I was charged and they insisted they could not provide an itemized receipt.

What else did you expect from a fireworks stand? It’s run by carnies

Your lofty expectations of roadside fireworks stands is odd.

You might be the only person ever who has requests an itemized receipt when buying fireworks.

Ha! I hear you. I know how this sounds. I’m an old guy from Mamou and have bought fireworks many times and I’ve never asked for an itemized receipt. I just didn’t see any way that it was close to accurate and some items didn’t have prices. Was just curious. Seemed like a simple request. It wasn’t a roadside place. It’s a permanent location that seems to have its shite together.

Most places just use a calculator. Only thing you can do is watch as they enter the prices and call them out if they try to screw you.

Or just let it go bc it's literally lighting money on fire. What's an extra $5?

Anyone know of a good firework place in Gonzales/p-ville area? Went to one today and noticed they had decent stuff but hardly anyone there, looked at the prices and realized why
