Miles and O sucked and both backed into natties, change my mind
Saban deserves hatred for leaving and then ending up at Bama
If Saban stayed at LSU for all of those years we had O and Les, we would have 8+ rings

LSU wasn’t available when Saban left the NFL. Bama threw the bank at him, and the rest is history.

Miles was an okay coach that did really well and had a chance to really leave his mark in ‘11, but shite the bed and never recovered.
Orgeron was a lazy hire, and a majority of this board use to talk about keeping him away from our program a decade prior. So it wasn’t anything new. He got lucky in ‘19.. let’s be honest. He deserves credit from putting it together, but as far as coaching, he was a clapping cheerleader with a dead headset.
I honestly love the Kelly hire. It’s going to be refreshing having a coach with a business approach again, who can put sentences together, that people enjoy working with.

Seems to me that you're saying:
--If Saban had never left we'd have more than 8 Nattys...
therefore hate for him is justified,.especially since he went to Conference rival Bama.
--And since we "backed into" 2 Nattys after Saban left, it follows that Les and O--or any other HC that might have been hired instead of them--are infinitely less than worthy of any credit for those National Championships since you believe Little Nicky would have won more than 2 over their tenures as HC..
So your point is that since Saban left and was successful somewhere else and could (possibly) have been just as successful had he stayed at LSU, the HC's of the 2 Nattys that LSU did win over that time do not deserve credit for those accomplishments.

You hate O and he brought us another National Championship with the greatest college football team ever with the most players drafted in history.

I don’t know if it’s true, I have absolutely no connections, but I heard Sabin was actually ready and willing to take the LSU job when he left Miami. Herbie announced “Miles to Michigan” right before the game and ticked off Miles due to a leak at Michigan (or wherever) so he stayed to save face right before the game and Saban went with the next best option.
Can anyone verify or give me more accurate details of what really happened? Thanks.

These 2 things didn't even happen in the same year.
Yes Saban's agent called LSU when he was leaving Miami but LSU did not have an opening.
Saban then was not Saban now.

Anyone who hates the Kelly résumé and that’s all we have right now, isn’t playing with a full deck. He’s the most successful coach LSU has ever hired. You’ve got to really, really, really try hard to “hate” on that.
