Former President Donald Trump suggested that current Florida Governor Ron DeSantis would be “good” as a Vice President, suggesting he’s inclined to select DeSantis as his running mate in a 2024 campaign to return to the White House.

Trump was speaking at a speaking tour event with longtime Fox News host Bill O’Reilly in Florida.

“I think Ron would be good,” said President Trump of DeSantis, mentioning that there were a “lot” of folks who could be good vice presidential candidates.

President Trump also spoke about the prospect of running with Mike Pence as his Vice President again, suggesting that a ticket with Pence would be “tough.” Trump referred to his belief that Pence could overturn the electoral college votes processed on January 6th, referencing negative reactions Pence incurred from some conservatives for declining an attempt to block the congressional certification of the election.

“I think Mike has been very badly hurt, with respect to what happened on January 6th… I think he’s been mortally wounded, frankly. Because I see the reaction he’s getting from people… They say, ‘why didn’t you just hand it back to the legislatures?'”

Opinion polling has consistently shown Donald Trump with a decisive electoral lead in the upcoming 2024 GOP primary, garnering outright majorities of support in a fashion likely to deter GOP challengers from seeking the nomination. Only unpopular former Governor Chris Christie has openly suggested he’ll run for President, potentially providing Trump with a cakewalk to the nomination.

Trump also suggested that a 2024 campaign was a strong possibility during the event, reiterating his belief that he won the 2020 election. The President also defended the efficacy and medical use of the coronavirus vaccines, in a development that met some boos from the sellout crowd present.

LINK
There is a brief video clip in the link. I wonder why he pushed the vax with no disclaimers saying it should not be mandatory?

$100 per person to see BOR does not compute. He also supposedly said in another interview: 2 or 3 people could be good Presidential contenders. He can't be a lame duck or he couldn't play kingmaker and save face.

I am probably on an island by myself but I don't think he will run. Junior, Peter Thiel, who knows who else?

We don't need DeSantis as VP, but he's right that he would be a good one. I have no problem with this answer as a response to "would you consider Ron DeSantis as your VP?"

Go this route, it's a winner. Problem is she's on deck and not Ron. I rather Trump just push for Ron and Winsome. He knows where the bodies are buried and can advise Ron and let him give the hatchet to all of the deep state rats and criminals in D.C. (FBI/DOJ/CIA/State Dept..., etc.) She can run it after Ron.

No. Go back to voting for politicians if you want, but I’m not so retarded that I forget history that easily.

That would require one of them to change his residence. The Constitution prohibits the nominees for President and Vice President from being residents of the same state.

When Dick Cheney became VP nominee, he had to change his residence from Texas (where he lived) to (or back to) Wyoming (his original residence).

DeSantis is a native Floridian (yes, they exist) so its doubtful he would change his residence. So does Trump move back to NYC? Or maybe come to Texas?

He didn’t follow up on any of his campaign promises other than tax cuts and as soon as Bannon was out of the picture Trump became a straight up Neocon cuck.
