The actor herself just turned 20.

Ciri appears different to me in some of the scenes depending on how dark her eyebrows are and whether or not her hair real wavy or straight.
The lighter her eyebrows the younger she appears to me. Sometimes they are near black and dense/thick.
Light eyebrows.
Dark eyebrows.
Not to mention that Triss is now a redhead.

Is season 2 ciri same actress as season 1?
Posted on 12/20/21 at 2:12 pm to YumYum Sauce
Yes. Just to clear up some confusion ciri is a very young girl like 9 if I remember correctly when she meets Geralt but she becomes a woman and has to be an actress capable of at least somewhat showcasing some of the physical stuff required. I think Freya Allen was the best we were possibly gonna get unless they cast two people because Freya can look 10 or 20

Same actress. Freya Allen was 17 when she filmed season 1, 19 when she finished season 2.
In the books, she's 12 when she first meets Geralt.

I remember her being 9 or 10 in Brokilon but it’s been a long time

That’s what I meant. Some scenes she genuinely looks like a young teenager. Some scenes I can tell that it’s a 20 year old made to look like a young teenager.

Did anyone else catch the joke that did about different timelines, making fun of season 1? I want to do a rewatch. This was really a slow burn. I didnt like Yens story, it was nt as polished as other characters and i didnt get to see her tits.

He’s like, my niece is a huge fan. Although your last song wasn’t your best. I didn’t get there were multiple
Timelines till the 4th verse, and I saw the surprise with the dragon coming a mile away. And I didnt Like the annoying lutist

“If you don’t mind me saying so, that one, it’s not your strongest.” The dock guard goes on to say the story was “a bit complicated” (it took him until the fourth verse to understand there were different timelines), the magic kiss was “a bit cheap,” he saw the dragon twist coming, and also: “The bit when the lute player ends up with the warrior ladies [...] didn’t really ring true for me, I must say.”

Just watched E2 and they did Eskel dirty compared to his character in the books or game
Posted on 12/21/21 at 9:33 pm to Ross
I’m rewatching it again and I need to walk back some of my comments. The best episode is without a doubt episode 1. They kinda cheapen the payoff by Geralt not getting his arse kicked and having to be saved and inserted Ciri into that roll which was probably necessary. The rest of this is not very good and it took a second rewatch without a two year wait hype to really see what. They more or less fricked about and got the pieces for time of contempt in order but why do it in such a terrible way? It didn’t need to be this way. Almost every original creation this season is shitty and it does matter I think. It will cheapen the best parts of any adaption moving forward. They could’ve chosen expansive rolls for existing characters to fill the relative lack of action in blood of elves. Or if frick all else pull from some of the most popular withcher 3 contracts or side quests to give an action packed monster of the week episode.

What they did to Eskel is unforgivable and leaves a bad taste in my mouth.

I agree. Especially because they added a bunch of meaningless extra Witcher’s. Eskel doesn’t have any sort of role to speak of that would require him beyond this season so I just fixed their problem in two seconds. Turn a random extra into the leshan and have Eskel die at the final fight saving Geralt or someone. It’s still not good but better.

That monster at the end of ep 1 was pretty sick. That was my main problem with the last one. After that flight with the swamp monster in s1 i don't remember a much more after that.
Ep 1 was as a whole was really good imo

Yeah I touched on it a few post above. The did a close to excellent job of portraying grain of truth including Ciri. Only two things I would’ve liked in was the beauty and the beast stuff which they entirely dumped outside of visual cues as far as I’ve seen. Second is Geralt getting his arse kicked by the Bruxa or at least struggle more. He’s a bit too OP right now.

I couldn't even kill bruxas that efficiently in the Blood and Wine DLC and my Geralt was OP as frick
