It has a 61 audience rating on rotten tomatoes. There’s no argument season 2 was received as worse than season 1. I didn’t really expect it to get that low because non gamers/book readers seemed to like it but it seems like honest criticism is starting to an show.

Freya Allen has turned into an absolutely stunner, a classic Hollywood type beauty that you don’t see much of anymore

I’d gladly lay down my life for her

I get that.

Season 1 was more episodic so each episode had something in it.

Season 2 was a little to broad. If they don’t wait 2 years for season three I am Fine with season 2

She’s a really good actress too. This show has really good acting all around but the 3 main leads are all great. I’m not really sure about the guy playing Vilgefortz yet since he’s the main bad and I don’t remember seeing him in anything else but I’m pleased with him so far.

Triss and Fringila would be my two biggest acting complaints. I don’t think either of them are terrible actresses really just horribly miscast. The guy playing Cahir isn’t like Cahir at all but still a great actor as well and made the part his own so whatever.

Show is pretty good, however I totally removed any expectations of it being true to the books and/or games after season one.

Triss casting really is so bad. Probably my #1 complaint.

He was in Marco Polo, which probably got his foot in the door with Netflix on this one.

Pumped to see more of the Wild Hunt though. I felt like I wasn't even watching the same show most of the time.

If theres anything I wish the writers had taken liberties with, it would have been the Wild Hunt. Its kind of necessary I guess for Ciri's lore but it was my least favorite part of the books. It just gets a little too wierd. Geralt's hanza is my favorite.

All I know of them is from the game but I heard they aren’t trying to follow the games. I thought their introduction was well done though in that last episode. I got pumped when they foreshadowed them earlier in the season.

The wild hunt is much cooler in Witcher 3 than they ever are in the books. There’s also a bunch of weird shite that goes on with them that Netflix absolutely won’t include which I’m fine with it grates on you.

Well ok big book spoilers here...

The Wild Hunt arent wraiths or even that badass. They put on this appearance to scare people. They really are just elves from a different dimension. They want Ciri in order to bring her and impregnate her with their leader who ends up dying because he takes elf viagra because Ciri doesnt do it for him. Shes then rescued by telepathic unicorns. Sapkowski went a little into the creep zone with Ciri sometimes and its definitely the weakest part of the story for me.

I also hate Ithalains(sp?) prophecy. I can see why some wouldnt like this book series. I think Geralts character and the world lore are so good that it overshadows a lot of the boring weird stuff.

Yeah the white frost always struck me as some existential threat far off in the distance. I do like the whole business with Ciri traveling to our world and bringing back the Black Plague/Catriana. Hope they keep that in there.
