I was expecting to hate this and ridicule you but I loved it. Spanish is a lovely singing language and she has a wonderful voice
ETA: it strikes me now that English has very few words ending in enunciated vowels, and the ones we have are loan words, creating the striking difference in rhyme schemes between English songs and other Romance languages

Yes, it's Spanish. Sometimes I get lost in my Portuguese zone.
ETA: Funny thing is, I got upvotes on that comment too

I’m confused as well.
You want some powerful poetry let me recommend this Stephen Murphy-Before you push the chair
The spoken or sung word has power. It can touch us. Make us laugh, make us cry.

Okay, you inspired this
Eta: well not really inspired but the universe told me to write it
ETA2: that may make me a crazy person
Struggle
I struggle with the madness,
I struggle with the grief,
I wrestle with the moments when I’ve lost all my belief,
I’ve learned to fight my demons,
I try to fight despair,
Even though it’s ever present I know it’s my cross to bear,
I’ve learned how to drown the dark out,
And I’ve learned to bear the weight,
To repeat my sacred mantra when there’s too much on my plate,
For I know the urge will pass,
And that I control myself,
But tonight I can’t find sleep,
Worrying for someone else,
For somewhere someone worries,
And thinks all hope is gone,
Somewhere someone doesn’t know,
Darkness never beats the dawn,
And tonight I want to tell them,
You don’t fight this fight alone,
Just hang on a little longer,
Don’t let bullet meet the bone,
And I know your tank is empty,
Lost at sea, no sight of land,
And the fog’s too thick to see,
But I’m begging, take my hand,
Though right now, you feel an island,
Let me tell you boy you’re wrong,
And the darkness that surrounds you’s,
Gonna lift before too long,
‘Cause I’ve been there,
Down in the black,
With all that weight upon my back,
When burdens seem too hard to bear,
I’m here right now,
But I’ve been there.
And I’m not gonna tell you that it all will be okay,
Because that’s all a load of shite,
And rough and rocky is the way,
But I can take a little bit, so let me share the load,
As a fellow broke and busted, let’s walk farther down the road,
Just one foot in front the other,
Like you’re learning how to walk,
I won’t tell you that it’s easy,
I won’t do much more than talk,
But your shoes sure look familiar,
For a fact I know they fit,
Because I was walking in them,
When I said “that’s it I quit.”,
And for truth I can’t explain,
Why right then I hesitated,
But I’m here to tell you now,
I’m so happy that I waited,
I just stayed a little longer,
And from somewhere then I heard,
A sound outside the darkness,
Just the song of some fool bird,
Though blackness still surrounded us,
It sensed what was to come,
Its incessant cheery chirping,
A harbinger of the sun,
Then through the black horizon,
The burst of light then broke,
And from their lofty perches,
Mockingbird and Robin spoke,
And suddenly that crushing weight,
I’d carried just was gone,
‘Cause never once in history,
Has darkness beat the dawn
And all I thought was final,
With toil and time did change,
Then one day I heard ME laughing,
Though the sound was almost strange,
Though I thought my world was over,
It turned out that it was not,
Why I would throw it all away,
Those reasons I forgot,
Now we’re almost out the tunnel,
You can almost see the light,
Cause if you just keep on walking,
Day will ALWAYS follow night

The amount of Spanish language music on my Spotify most- listened-to for 2021 is almost comical for a Spanish-language-novice. There is something about sad songs and romantic songs and sentimental songs in Spanish that just kills me.
