I need a local gunsmith to look at a Franchi Affinity that has the bolt locked open, I can't get it to do anything. Who's good/reasonable/fast?

you gotta be shittin' me, Pyle.

You serious? You've missed all the threads on this very board talking about how absolutely, unequivocably shitastic Jim's is?

And that's on top of them being sorry arse price gouging bastards.

to the OP, I have had good experience with Louisiana Firearms. The owner is extremely helpful and caring. And speaking on Jim’s I can tell you how shitty they are. A friend of mine brought his AR15 to Jims to get a flash hider/suppressor mount put on. Jim’s took his gun, charged him $40 and made him wait 4 hours for a 5 minute job. I took my AR15 to get a flash hider installed at Louisiana Firearms where the owner said he would feel bad about charging me to install something so simple and quick. He charged me absolutely nothing, did it in 5 minutes, and asked me how I wanted the flash hider timed. I and everyone I know have had nothing but horrible experiences with Jim’s.

The gunsmith Vince from Son's of Guns reality tv show is near Gonzales. Khyber Pass is the name of the shop I think.

I’ve seen some mixed comments on him on this board, but I’ve had nothing but good experiences with him

FRC has a gunsmith. Sorry, but I don’t know much about him. Everything else over there has been top notch in my experience, so I’m guessing the gunsmith is as well.

I don’t buy overpriced stuff from Jim’s.

They gave me a good deal on fixing my shotgun.

Pays to be nice sometimes

Jake did the last work I had done. All around great guy to deal with...figure he's who I'll use next time I need something. I've had good work from Eduardo before, but don't know if he's still doing it. I used Reynerson's one time and wasn't happy with them.

Glad you got a good deal. But you are the proverbial "exception to the rule."

I have used Eduardo a couple times. He isn’t fast, but can do just about anything.
