re: Surveyor Help

I'm a mapping guy. If you get me that legal description I can tell you exactly how much property you're supposed to have. Like someone else said - the +/- associated with listed acreage is supposed to account for a few acres here or there and unless the surveyor is a dip (which I've worked with a few) their modern work is going to result in more accurate numbers. I'm betting the attorney realized this info is going to cost his client money so they're trying to find a way out.

My dad's in the middle of going through this with an offshore boat he wanted to donate. Most non profits that will take a donation of your boat make it a huge hassle for you and all they'll do is haul it to a local auction place without a care whether they get $50 for it or not. If it were me I'd see if I could find a kid that loves to fish to give it to so they can fix it up.

We're not remotely looking to get rich on it. The trailer's in great shape with brand new tires. My plan at the moment is to get the engines squared away and go from there.

Yeah I figured the older engines will hurt it some, but the transom and boat in general is solid. He maintained it really well until around the time covid started, but they're getting up there a little in age now with some health stuff and he's ready to get it out of his yard.

Grady White Sailfish 25 Value
Posted by Hydrasports205 on 8/4/23 at 11:40 am
Not trying to start a for sale thread here, but my dad has a Grady White 25 sailfish he's considering getting rid of. It hasn't been in the water in a while and has one engine that starts intermittently (seems to be a wiring issue). Outboards are twin 250 Yamahas - 2 cycle (not sure on the year but i think late 90s or early 2000's). What are y'alls thoughts on pricing or value for this thing? I know a good bit about bass boats, but neither he or I really know anything about the offshore market at this point.

Jake did the last work I had done. All around great guy to deal with...figure he's who I'll use next time I need something. I've had good work from Eduardo before, but don't know if he's still doing it. I used Reynerson's one time and wasn't happy with them.

It would need major renovations to be useable for anything, the interior/arena is very literally falling apart. I've never seen a basketball game in there, but went to the rodeo there many times as a kid and hate to see it the way it is now.
