I heard Mark Schlabach (sp?) on WWL yesterday afternoon say that he thinks Scott will be a finalist @ the end of the year.
But he may have been blowing smoke to the LSU audience

If he continues at his current pace, especially against the better teams, than why not Charles Scott? In reality though, I think it's probably already been awarded to the Mizzou QB, as long as he doesn't blow it...

If Scott averages 120+ yards a game the rest of the year, he has a good shot at being a finalist. But he'll need 1400-1500+ yards and 14+ TD's IMO

It's ashame, but Scott will need 2000 yards, 20 TD's, and an SEC Championship to win the Heisman.

maybe, but I was only stating what I thought he needed to be a finalist.

IF and it's a huge IF, LSU were undefeated SEC champs and he had like 1,500 yards and 16 TD's I think he would definitely get invited.

I agree. I was talking about him actually winning the Heisman.

Problem with Scott is that he isn't a real break away threat. Everyone else on that list has the capability of making a big play and instantly changing a game. Scott is 5yds and a cloud of dust. To really have a shot at the Heisman he'll have to break some long runs vs top competition. He should definitely be in the hunt for AA though.

AA is no small thing . . . Who was the last AA RB we fielded at LSU?

I can't believe John Parker is not on the list, that is bullshite. All of this is rigged, it is obvious that he is Favre's daddy when it comes to game management skills.

And that hair doo, is that not worth a few votes?

It doesn't refresh automatically every time, so give it a sec and it will jump by a few... but only one vote is yours.

You can only vote once a day - per computer (loophole ) - so I did it once from each of the PCs and laptops here at the casa...

Pretty sure there's a blank box where you can write him in... enough write-ins and maybe ESPN will notice.

John Parker Wilson has got a whole mess of letters in it for you Gumps to be typin' all at once - maybe that's the problem.

You know I'm kidding.

5yds and a cloud of dust? 4 games this year with long runs of 20, 31, 43, and 56. Not to mention a 7.5 yard avg.

I think that the reason that LSU has not had a heisman player in forever is that we have a whole team about on the same level. We spread the weath to much, which is not a bad thing. We have always had at least 2 or 3 equal RBs that rotate and are capable of churning up yards. Same with most positions. So no one person is the dependent person getting the astronomical yardage. And that works to our advantage. We don't fall apart, ie. Ohio State, if we lose one player.
