Not tasting any boots. Then again, I'm not rolling around with $100K of the cartel's money. If she can show any documentation of legal receipt of that money, she'll get it back. There's a 99.8% chance that they never hear from her again because it was never her money. It's just a business expense for the cartel.

Do a bit of research and you will find that this is RARELY the case...the majority of civil asset forfeitures are ever returned, regardless of *proof*

That is not her burden to prove.

It is squarely on the government to prove who did not charge her with a crime.

Maybe she was traveling to a government auction where they require you pay the day of in cash? Those happen frequently in my area. Only rich folks can go and buy assets for pennies on the dollar because most folks would still have to finance the purchase.
