How much do you pay for auto insurance?

Just got my renewal documents from Allstate and the premium is like $270/month for one vehicle. It's a BMW 340i, but still.
No history of accidents, DUIs, speeding tickets, etc. This seems nuts

Wasn't there a move afoot in the LA House just last year for a redo of the U/M laws? We are drag-assing with the rest of the country and have some of the highest rates because of uninsured knuckleheads still behind the wheel..... and not to mention that (on average) even insured LA motorists drive like a gorilla in a jet plane. Jeeez...
