Really want him to stay on staff as like safeties coach or something. Go get a proven DC then when/if they leave for a head coaching job let Jones take it back over. After O’s dumb arse got over his infatuation with the 4/3 the D killed it. If we can get somebody who is a proven DC and let Daronte learn a little more I think he would be awesome for the long run. I can only imagine what he could do after learning a little more with the play calling and actually having healthy players. He damn near had us at 9-3 with a depleted roster I like the guy.

The 4-3 was O’s weak side option.

I think if somebody was really after him for Dc he’d be gone already. He has a small sample size of success.

What did I write that isn’t the truth? An idiot calling somebody else an idiot typical of this website.

I doubt he takes a demotion and stays here and he will likely have NFL options again when those jobs open up later.

Maybe you’re right, I just don’t see somebody giving him another DC opportunity yet.

That or get fired. You don't honestly believe he will get a DC job anywhere? The only reason he got hired here was because Orgeron was desperate and everyone had turned him down.

If we fire him we buy him out. That's more likely to happen than him taking another staff job. He would lose too much money.

How many coordinators have taken a demotion and stayed at the same school?

Short side option.

I don't think people mind options to the weak side of the defense.

He’s not going to take a demotion. No coach would. So you keep him as DC or you move on. I would be perfectly fine keeping him as a DC with how good our D looked in the back half of the season
