I think you're missing the point. The average winning percentage of the last three coaches BEFORE they got to LSU was 50.9%.

Their winning percentage AT LSU was 74.6%. Brian Kelly COMES IN with a winning percentage of 73.9%.

All of y'all are missing the point, which is that it's a stupid graphic. Kelly's winning percentage includes lots of years after he had already built it. Most of his wins came at programs who were naturally competitive against their schedule. All of the others' winning percentages are for the "ladder years" when they were fighting their way up. Of course those will be worse.

If you are comparing Saban to Kelly you should include all of Saban's career. Saban did not have the advantage Kelly had in being at a blueblood for a dozen seasons before taking the LSU job.

I'm not missing the point on anything. The rant told me prior to the season that cbk would do better here than his career average prior do coming here.

Well as of right now he has won exactly 75% of his games here at LSU. Which is roughly what our last 3 coaches averaged while they coached here.

This is great and all, but this doesn’t guarantee he will match the winning percentages of the other coaches.

This year he will most likely finish in the 60-70% win percentage, less than his career win %.

I think Kelly will be fine, but if he never matches his career win % here, is LSU a king breaker?
