We keep saying “wait until he gets in a rhythm with this team” but that can’t happen until he stays healthy or our training staff deems him healthy

Not with this medical staff. He can get a paper cut and they will hold him out for at least 3 games

He hasn’t even suffered a legitimate injury yet this year and has missed significant time.

I don’t even consider him when thinking about the future of this team and that’s the honest truth.

The team currently without him has a very bright future. He’s just a little icing on top but not somebody the Pelicans can count on to win a title. He can and will (if healthy) definitely help us win a title but you can’t count on him to be THE reason we win one.

It’s just my way of setting low expectations (for a damn good reason) so I don’t get hurt in the long run lol

This medical staff is starting to piss me off. You can protect him from everything. 3 games already for this is crazy. Sometimes you have to left the chips fall where they may

Yes

He’s got incentives in his contract. At some point he’s got to get on the court.

The only positive about these “injuries” is Zion is ultimately going to be locked into the 5yr 190 mil extension Vs the 5 yr 231 mil extension.

Helps us luxury tax wise and we might be able to keep Herb and Trey Murphy long term and not just one of them.

Yeah Zions not gonna like that if we’re holding him back from making more money over small injuries

Yeah, he might not like it, but if his input is playing a part of the decisions and it’s not simply our medical staff, I think he will get over it.

I truly think he’s appreciative of the contract he received, bump or no bump. He told Malika Andrews a couple months ago that he was unsure if the pelicans would offer him a contract and if he would’ve been the team, he would’ve understood if they didn’t.

I can def find and link the interview if anyone wants to see that.

We don't know, but it sure as hell seems like he doesn't let anyone play unless they are 100%, and that's a ridiculous standard.

$40M could very well be the difference between being able to keep one or two

It’s a bit early to tell how much they will command, but I could easily see both making north of $15M annually if they continue to play well.

You’re a homo. Someone gives their opinion and you dismiss it. It’s not a debate it’s a fricking opinion. Dipshit.
