Best way to go about selling bay boat.

I have a 24ft 2004 skeeter zx2400 with a 2018 Yamaha f300 (1600ish hours). Has navigation, ipilot, power pole, live well, auto-bilge pump, wash down pump/hose, forward and side lights, striker t-top, and it has no major cosmetic/structural flaws. It's also on the original aluminum trailer that's in near perfect condition.
Inflation and a baby on the way killed me. Never sold a boat before and would like to know the best way to go about it, especially since I still have a loan on it.

This is the way
Louisiana Sportsman works too, but it was such a PITA when we tried to use it last time, we ended up just selling on Facebook.

Facebook Marketplace is definitely the way to go with regards to selling/buying a boat. Make sure to include as many pictures and info as you can in the listing to avoid unnecessary questions. I'd include pictures of the interior of the storage compartments/hatches, livewells, under console areas, etc. The more info you know about the boat, the easier it is to sell. If you know the boat well, and it doesn't have any issues, it shouldn't take more than a few weeks or so to sell.
Just curious, how much do you plan on sellin for?

Sold my old one and bought my new one both on FB Marketplace.
You'll get some tire kickers, but adding lots of photos and as many details as possible the right buyer will come along quicker than you'd expect if it's priced legit.

Just bring it to LA Boat Dealer.
They sold my boat last year for me. You will eliminate the hassles of showing the boat to many undesirables. They will store the boat at their facility in Metairie, list it on many boat websites and show it to buyers. They also took care of all the paperwork for title transfer. When it sold, I got a check. 504 754 8750.

Hope this helps.

I sold mine through the Boat Yard and bought replacement from Louisiana Sportsman, that was a few years back.
If you plan on doing it yourself, I would try Facebook as others have suggested.

1600 hours is a cake walk for a Yamaha. They can go 5k+ hours as long as they’re maintained and taken care of. shite we just rolled over 1500 hours on our 300s this weekend.
OP - Facebook is definitely the way to go. Post a TON of pictures and make sure to list every single detail. If you think you have too many pictures on your post, add 10 more lol. I’d also lost model numbers for things like pumps, GPS and all that. But that’s just me. The more details the better.

Did you take the Skeeter sticker off? I have a 22' hull like that and want to remove mine.
Posted on 5/30/23 at 1:17 pm to CHEDBALLZ
Idk, I bought it used and the hull looked how it does in the pictures.

Looks just like my 22'.
I also removed the skeeter stickers on the side. They were to big.

I was referring to "had a nice run" for putting down 320 hours a year pre-kids. He will be lucky to put in 320 hours over the next 5 years with kids. I wasnt dissing Yamaha.
