Woke vs. Red Pilled

It is a difference without a distinction. In fact, it is the same damn delusion just on opposite ends of the political spectrum.

I have a decent since of what is "woke." I am not sure what "Red Pilled" means.

One is about conserving what is (was) the best country ever. Because, well, it's the best. The other is about "fundamentally changing" that...cause, they have mental issues.

Woke only means you’re an intolerant a-hole who thinks you should be able to get away with literally anything. Red pilled doesn’t mean you’re on the Right, but just that you can see past the lies and see the world mostly for what it is. Red pilled people are curious about the world, while the Woke aren’t and want to destroy any narrative or information that contradicts or disproves their ideology.
There are red pilled Democrats like the Weinstein Bros, Joe Rogan, Sam Harris, Bari Weiss, Christina Hoff Summers, Jimmy Dore, Ayaan Hirsi Ali, and Bill Maher. There is no one who is Woke that is to the Right of Joe Biden nor would the Woke tolerate any of that in their ranks unless you agree to be their personal gimp.

Disagree. All of the people I know or have observed as becoming "woke" are far more extreme in their beliefs than those who have been "red pilled". I also can't think of anyone I know, at least, who was conservative and became woke. They were either politically indifferent or already leaned left. There are many people who have been "red pilled" that were on the left beforehand and have moved center right. None of them I would consider to have far right extremist beliefs.
I think we all have ideals of how the world should be, especially when we're younger, and then we get smacked in the face with reality. Some people realign their ideals with those realities and accept it - these are the people who become red pilled. Others refuse to accept those realities, and instead believe the world should conform with their ideals - these are the people who become woke. At least, that is my observation.

Red pilled liberals see the world for what it really is. They are incredibly skeptical of the woke movement and are not fans of outcomes based "equity".

Fast forward to the present and I have known instances where people have had small annoyances inflicted upon them, like having the tires on their vehicles flattened to more serious stuff like being harassed on their jobs and ultimately fired, all because they were not woke enough. Thangs gon'git crazy atta while folks.

One has to do with social interaction, almost exclusively racism, and the other has to do with government or sexual interaction. That's a big distinction.
