NYU News
She is big mad because faculty initially praised her. She lost her housing and is now “homeless”.

i wish she had community service added to that, something like picking up trash on the side of the road
the picture shows 2 equally guilty POS with handfuls of ripped down posters, so why was it only one that got sentenced?

Mad that their friend violated someone else's free speech? What is the free speech argument here? Ripping a poster down is a physical act that has nothing to do with free speech. Free speech is putting up your own poster with whatever you want on it, but it is not taking down someone else's poster.

I agree that that is a shitty thing for her to do.
I have a question about the efficacy of putting up posters in the U.S.A. for kidnap victims who are on another continent.
It's not like anyone here even has a chance of spotting them.

I don't see how anyone tearing down posters could ever be considered "free speech". That is the antithesis of free speech. They are literally encroaching on the free speech of the people who hung the posters. Also...they need to realize that there are natural consequences from what you say and do.

So creating public awareness and outrage puts political pressure on the administration to do something.

They are both fat and ugly enough to be in ANTIFA, why waste time at NYU?

Why didn’t you have similar questions about getting vaxxed and boosted?
Don’t tell me. I already know.

Sooner or later everyone sits down to a banquet of consequences.

She needs to go scarf down a dozen cheeseburgers to drown her sorrow.

I believe it was a university action not a criminal one. Perhaps the other one isn’t a student there or is being handled separately?
ETA: looks like second one was a student but no mention of her fate.
