This is yet another disaster created by the worst administration in U.S. history.

Creating a solution to a problem that doesn't exist in order to enrich your donors.

Dealers urge Biden to back off EV requirements - Axios

quote:

Nearly 4,000 U.S. car dealers are asking President Biden to tap the brakes on proposed emissions regulations designed to ensure that two-thirds of new passenger cars are all-electric by 2032.

Consumers just aren't interested, they say, and electric vehicles (EVs) are stacking up on their lots.
Why it matters: Neighborhood car dealers claim to be the best barometer of consumer sentiment — and a group calling themselves "EV Voice of the Consumer" is sounding the alarm about a widening mismatch between EV supply and customer demand.

Driving the news: A total of 3,882 franchised car dealers from 50 states sent a letter to Biden Tuesday urging the administration to slow down its EV mandates.

"Last year, there was a lot of hope and hype about EVs," they wrote, describing demand from early adopters.

"But that enthusiasm has stalled. Today, the supply of unsold BEVs (battery electric vehicles) is surging, as they are not selling nearly as fast as they are arriving at our dealerships — even with deep price cuts, manufacturer incentives, and generous government incentives."

"With each passing day, it becomes more apparent that this attempted electric vehicle mandate is unrealistic based on current and forecasted customer demand. Already, electric vehicles are stacking up on our lots which is our best indicator of customer demand in the marketplace."

If only we had a Congress that could put these regulators out of business before they destroy the economy.

Don't worry, Joe will just raise the ethanol rates again to balance things out. People will either have to pay more for shittier fuel or finally suck it up and buy an EV. Forget that it would raise food prices in many categories, it's FOR THE frickING ENVIRONMENT!!111122!@

Hope - a solid business model that was, in no way, based on real demand. Just part of the leftist, globalist, self enriching agenda.

There's nothing that the Biden admin won't destroy. Regulations are out of control.

Biden will respond back with how he'll contemplate it if they all unionize. That's the Dems key play in negotiations.

People aren't buying into climate change as the basis for eliminating on and off-road ICE vehicle sales. Despite the Dem lies, inflation is hitting everybody and folks aren't looking to spend hard cash for an EV daily driver with inflated service costs.

In a life or death scenario are you going to rely a Tesla or you gonna hop in your gas burner?

And not just inflated service costs, but people cant afford them out of the gate. Getting into a $50k+ starting point vehicle isn't something the avg person is able/willing to do right now. Then add the inflated insurance rates.

Interesting part is how this is another anti-black push by Dems. No matter how many EV commercials being advertised to the black consumer only, they arent able to afford them on a grand scale. Shows how Dems know they'll keep voting for them.

I'm jumping in the petro powered machine of course.

In a real SHTF situation that won't last either. Eventually we would be back to horses and mules.

avg yearly wage in the US is $41k and interest rates with excellent credit are around 6% but sure let's mandate that everyone buy a $50k vehicle. What could go wrong?

It’ll be great, between EVs and the 2026 kill switches, every US town will look like Havana:

As soon as people accept the fact that this administration is purposefully crippling our country on behalf of their Chinese employers, this will all start to make more sense to them.

The parent automobile manufacturing companies contributed to this... Falling all over themselves to ESG virtue signal and be the first to declare they were "going electric."
