Just a quick question: are we sure that the peoples of other countries don’t donate money to our own people in their time of need, the many various natural disasters our country suffers regionally? I’d have a hard time believing that doesn’t happen pretty regularly. And Israel doesn’t actually enjoy quite the same quality of life that we do here. I don’t see anything wrong with kicking them some dough in their time of need.

I’d much rather individuals/churches donate—provided they’re personally called to help—than for governments to do so. But I understand your frustration.

I remember years ago I saw a list of about 25 charities, and what % of the money actually goes to the cause (after overhead, advertising, salaries, ect)
