I'd suggest people read the entire interview, it's very insightful:
“I tried to interview Vladimir Putin, and the US government stopped me,” the former Fox News host then revealed. “So, think about that for a minute. By the way, nobody defended me. I don’t think there was anybody in the news media who said, ‘Wait a second. I may not like this guy, but he has a right to interview anyone he wants, and we have a right to hear what Putin says,'” he continued. “You’re not allowed to hear Putin’s voice. Because why? There was no vote on it. No one asked me. I’m 54 years old. I’ve paid my taxes and followed the law.”

Can’t risk our citizens to form their own opinions. Too dangerous.

Putin is fundamental to their grift and theft of the American treasury by the occupiers of the government

The OT thread hates hearing the other side of the story

There are those whom would love to see the Russians and US decimate each other in order to reap the remains from both sides.

How would the US stop Tucker from going there? Physically arrest him before he gets on a plane? Arrest him when he gets back? Under what laws? What if he were to push this and do it anyway and make our gov't look like clowns

When asked why American trust in mainstream media has plummeted over the last decade, Carlson said, “Well, because if you want to subvert a democracy, you need to control the information that citizens receive. I’d argue that the news media in democracies is far less trustworthy than it is in other countries simply because it matters more in a democracy.”
“There has been a very aggressive attempt, over a number of decades on the part of the people who run the United States, to control what’s available on our news stations and in our newspapers — to control the news media. And they have,” he continued, adding that many U.S. media organizations have been happy to allow it.
Carlson then described numerous examples of topics that are off limits, including questioning of COVID-19 vaccine rollouts or the narrative on the war in Ukraine. “This is potentially a nuclear conflict between superpowers. Shouldn’t we know all that we can? ‘No.’ You’re not allowed,” Carlson said of the war.

Sounds like a lot of Tucker hot air.
Putin has been interviewed by all the networks, the NY Times, Wall Street Journals, etc. since the war started.
He sounds like a basketball player who trips over his own shoelaces and immediately starts crying "foul!, where's the foul!"

Exactly Tucker’s point.
The government controlled media gets to ask the questions the government approves of.
Why are they scared for Tucker to ask questions?

So, we can expect someone in the Administration to come out and debunk this any minute now?

I hate that we won't be able to watch a Russian shill interview a Communist dictator.

“Tucker is Putin’s puppet”
You clowns already tried that in 2016 with Trump
Posted on 9/25/23 at 11:28 am to ItzMe1972
This is disturbing to me. Why wouldn't any news agency be able to interview a leader of a foreign country?
Posted on 9/25/23 at 11:29 am to ItzMe1972
How did the government stop him?
Just do it
Just do it

We don't love communist dictators. We love freedom and we want to know where our tax dollars are going and why.
I hate liberals and Biden but I'd never want to go live in Russia under Putin.
