"We need to see unemployment rise. Unemployment has to jump 40, 50 percent in my view. We need to see pain in the economy. We need to remind people that they work for the employer, not the other way around."

New normal bitches. We aren’t buying this. You can take this “know your place” tripe elsewhere.

Meanwhile CEO pay compared to workers continues to grow.

I don’t typically agree with AOC, but she’s dead on here. This guy is literally trying to “put us back in chains.”

That's a society in shambles.

No he is not. Look up the word “literally” and try to remember the definition for goodness sake.

People like this CEO are going to be burnt corpses in the street or hung on a lamppost if we see 50% unemployment in this country.

You’re really going to argue over semantics after hearing this entitled frick?

Biden used this phrase an an inappropriate time. This is much more relevant.

Maybe he meant 50% increase of what it is now?

\No it’s not. If unemployment is 3% a 50% jump would make unemployment 4.5%. Hardly a society in shambles. In fact, that’s about the goal that the Fed wanted to kill inflation.

He did. He means a jump from 4% to 6%.

40-50% unemployment would end the employers.

Is artificially worsening the job market compatible with the concept of a free market?

This guy works in property development. He’s going to get his wish and his company will be in the industry hardest hit

Is a jump from 4% to 6% going to significantly change the perceived attitudes he’s lamenting?

He didn’t say that we need to see a 50% unemployment rate for Christ’s sake.

Meanwhile, Truist Bank just announced massive layoffs but they don’t mind spending the hundreds of millions of dollars putting their name on skyscrapers, stadiums, arenas, etc.

I’m not sure.

I wouldn’t think so.

Curious what Biden would argue since he’s touting the lowest unemployment ever.

This is a retarded take...as is the quote from the CEO.

It’s compatible with modernity. If you don’t understand that you should not be allowed to vote.

He's saying jump 40-50%...not jump to 40-50%.
