To insure public safety and public health, we know diseased pigs should be extirpated.

I've literally never come across an aggressive yellow lab. They bark a lot sometimes, but if you're that scared of a lab, I can't imagine your day to day interaction with basically any human being.

No it wasn't. It was a bad mistake but the Policeman was probably ignorant of most canine characteristics. He probably doesn't know the difference between a Lab and a Mastiff.
He needs more education/training.

Not only was he excessively trigger happy shooting a harmless pet, he also missed which could have easily hit someone not even in the immediate area.
