Actually, Russell Shepard was the highest rated QB recruit LSU has ever gotten, and he never played QB thanks to Miles’ stupidity

We get it man. A great QB is better than a good DB...especially for LSU.
No need to keep defending who was or wasn't the #1 QB in his class. You will win the argument if you just stick to your original point. Trust me...nobody with a brain will argue against your original point.

Josh Booty was the highest rated ever. Shepard would be #2. Josh Booty was national player of the year by 6 different publications. He was the #1 ranked Football & Baseball recruit in America. Why would you want to trade one for the other. We’re trying to be the best. We want both. There’s no consolation prizes in recruiting. You want to stack all the talent you can at every position. That’s how you become programs like georgia is rn and how bama has been under saban. None of this complacent, coping

If I remember correctly there was a debate if booty was even the best QB in LA that year. There was this other cat from NOLA. Lil skinny dude named Peyton Manning.
