I’m sure Walker is going to have to enter the portal again because he expected Ole Miss to cut every other QB, stop recruiting new ones, and paint his name in both endzones, while ensuring that he wasn’t going to get any actual playing time but also run exclusively first team reps in practice

I agree. But to be honest, this makes his move more egregious. I’m ok with a little more talk given he left to be closer to a starting job and now he’s back to third string, for now.
I mean, wow!!! If people on this board knew they were gonna land Sanders, how did he not know? And if so, why would he commit there. I guess he thinks Lane is better coach than Denbrock to develop him. But sheesh.

Dart used his one free transfer so unless he’s willing to sit out a year, I’d expect him back.

If I’m not mistaken, Sanders only has 1 year left. Sounds like they promised Walker 2nd team and Dart will be processed.

This. I don't know why everybody is insinuating that Dart is transferring. He can't, at least not without sitting. I also don't think it is a lay up that WH beats out Dart. He very well might be 3rd string again.

It’s really head scratching though. Dart has proven much much more than Howard at this point.

Dart has two years of college experience and is at least as talented as Walker. People thinking Walker will just take his job might be surprised.

There is no way they get Sanders, who is using his super senior year, to come on board without a clear path to start.
I'm guessing we see Dart hit the portal during the next window (would need a waiver).

They didn't guarantee him anything. They may have recruited him saying that but that doesn't mean it's happening. Howard is not better than Dart right now. Come game time if Sanders gets hurt Howard is riding the pine not Dart. Howard is not ready and he's naive if he thinks any P5 is going to give him guarantees without competing.
I think this is all to push Dart not the other way around. They want to make his seat hotter so he improves more.
